Infusion 2004 Silent Auction

Whether you prefer jewellery or race cars, the Infusion Online Charity Silent Auction has something for everyone. Best of all, money raised goes to childhood cancer survivors at Western and child cancer patients in the London community.

Last year, more than $35,000 was raised to establish the RBC Capital Markets 125th Anniversary Healthy Lifestyles Award Fund, which will benefit one student each year indefinitely. More than $10,000 was also donated to the London Regional Cancer Centre for a new radiology wing.

“Infusion was created with the vision of helping to build a stronger link between Western students and the London community,” says Lennie Kwan, Executive Director of Infusion 2004. “We accomplish this through tremendous support from the USC, support from faculty and staff and local media participation.”

Among this year’s auction items, which will be displayed at the Infusion Booth in the UCC Atrium and the Bookstore at Western during the next three weeks, include:

*One Week Stay at the Timbers Club in Aspen, Colorado
*Tiffany Co. - Heart Charm Jewelry
*Apple 40GB I-Pod & 4GB Mini I-Pod (Campus Computer Store)
*NASCAR Daytona 500 tickets - 100 yards from finish line
*Broil King BBQ
*Toronto Raptors - Two Platinum front row seats behind the press box
*Greyhound Bus Fare
*Moksha Yoga
*Valentine’s Dinner - La Casa Restaurant

There are also many more prizes from ski resorts, restaurants and tanning salons to electronics, autographed books, clothing and gift bags. Everyone is welcome to bid on items even if they do not attend Western.

The Infusion Online Charity Silent Auction starts today at noon and closes November 7 at midnight. If you are unable to participate in the silent auction, you can support the cause by attending the Infusion Fashion Show on November 6th, 2004 at Alumni Hall, 7:30pm. Tickets will be available at the UCC, the Bookstore at Western, BooksPlus and Chapters & Starbucks at Fanshawe.
